Brian, another point: you asked why I did this changes at the elevons, why I splitted them ~ 40% / 60%
I started some time ago with the translation of an old post at RCN to explain it, but I will not finished somehow
Here the most important facts and a link to some graphics, I hope that will help you to understand a little bit what I like to do there and former did at some of my older Horten, for example the Ho IIIe and the 2,5 m Midi-Elli:
The 4 flaps offer a variety of mixing options to reduce the drag and / or produce moments in the desired direction of movement. To use such big flaps only as elevons is almost a waste. Norberts H XIV shows a relatively large slide in curves that I wouldn´t like to have on my aeroplane
I splitted the elevons because I can reduce this slide with the appropriate mixture of the 4 flaps.
